Where no Myra has gone before ...

Today I venture into the blogiverse. While I experience great trepidation, I also feel quite exhilarated at this 21st century cyberchance to share thoughts on many topics, starting with robotics. Scientific American's special edition on Robotics presents an inside view of the rapidly evolving field, one that offers the potential for a near future that only a few years ago appeared to be science fiction. The magazine subtitle, "How smart machines will change everything," may sound hyperbolic, but Bill Gates' introductory essay, "A Robot in Every Home," brings the reality of robotics into focus.
